What might happen if the cell membrane was replaced by a plastic coat?
If the cell
membrane of a cell was replaced by a plastic coat, the cell won’t be able to
perform simple life sustaining tasks. For example the cell won’t be able allow
items like nutrients which are the cells food to pass through making it
impossible to sustain life and impermeable. In addition the cell won’t be able
to allow waste to leave the cell.
